Later that week I talked with a Omega rep in the store. He agreed that the clasp would work. It took about 3 or 4 days to get the clasp in form the Swatch Group. I took my watch to Casa D'Oro and they put the new clasp on for me free of charge. The price for the clasp was 1.00 plus tax. So it was better than others have posted in this thread. Many Omega fans are now modifying their existing Omegas by replacing the original clasp with the Planet Ocean clasp which is adjustable through 6 positions. The spacing of each of those 6 positions is far smaller than adding or removing a half-link from your Omega's bracelet.
I upgraded the 3861’s clasp to the one with the micro-adjustment. Cost was 9.99 + tax. And kept the old one. The current MSRP cost of the clasp is 0 plus tax (if you find a friendly Omega Boutique that will order one for you; Omega had recently increased their pricing on the adjustable clasps and are less friendly into allowing people to order parts of a bracelet for a watch retrofit) so here is your chance to buy one for less. It's been updated with Omega's micro-adjustment clasp that debuted on last year's Speedmaster Chronoscope and allows the bracelet to expand up to 2.3mm. That’s the complete kit. Includes the upgraded quick-adjust clasp STZ013899 and all the necessary connecting links, screws, etc. Everything you need to upgrade your original clasp to the new one and make it fit the proper way, without any weird gaps.
