Basically just because you can! Hands down an awesome DPS sword and they actually let SAM use it. You need to be SAM/WAR though for Vorpal Blade or Sanguine Blade. If you go SAM/NIN to dual wield you won't have any WS worth using unfortunately. You can spam Spirits Within, but that's only useful at 300% TP.
