No issues with my Pam 560. I was drawn towards the new movement as it .
I have heard stories of even 3 day movements not matching that. But I am having trouble fin. There have been instances where that movement runs ridiculously fast when it's .
The P5000 movement winds very smoothly and quietly. They both runs loud .
Sorry. The administrator has banned your IP address. The P.5000 calibre has a variable inertia balance, its period of oscillation being . The saleswoman was telling about about the P.5000 movement and how it is in house, free sprung balance, 8-day reserve, etc and it has all the bells and whistles you'd want in a modern manual wind movement. I have heard stories of even 3 day movements not matching that. But I am having trouble finding any other record of the accuracy of this movement. Of course, I will always wonder how accurate it would be if I actually wore it for 8 days.
For my first Panerai I'm torn between the 111 (Unitas 6497) and the 510 (P5000). Can anyone tell me about their experience with the in-house movement. Let me know about accuracy, reliability(in the short span it's been out), etc? My only other experience with Panerai were with models that had ETA movements. They were more accurate. That said, I accept that an 8 day "base" movement won't be as accurate as some of their higher end in house movements.

Panerai Caliber P.5000 Watch Movement

The PAM 560 is newer than the movement – we saw it for the first time at the 2014 edition of the SIHH, and the feeling we have is that it’s part of a general move across the board to make all Panerai watches powered by in-house movements. Since owning two pieces with the P5000 movement, I have since gotten rid of one and purchased two other pieces with the 3 Day P3000 movement. The P3000 is far more accurate. It does run a little fast if you keep it topped off, but nothing like the P5000 movement.P.5000/2018 with the "total closed" bridge version (no gears visible), here the back side of a PAM00992 (that picture seems to be wrong, no PAM00992 in real was found with "total closed bridge" version). Most Panerai in-house movements feature interesting codes like VML, VNK, VOL or VXJ on their main plates, letters which interestingly can also be found on movements from other Richemont brands like Baume & Mercier, IWC, Vacheron Constantin, Piaget and Cartier. Overall the best have been the watches with the ETA 6497/8 movement, Panerai and others. Not so much because they're super accurate, but they are very easy to regulate and are positionally sensitive. Set them down face up and they run a bit faster, crown up a bit slower.
